  • You should not offer tulsi, haldi and kumkum to the lord Shiva. One should also know this pooja is always offered with the coconut and even without breaking it.
  • At the time of reciting mantra, one should sit on the woolen clothes and offer flowers and Akshat to the Shivalinga.
