Daily worship
Daily worship is done five times in a day and special worship and abhishek is performed between 4:30 to 6:00 on Sundays which is considered as the Raghu kala. Raghu Navagraha Temple
Sri Naganathaswamy Temple is located at Tirunageswaram(raghu navagraha temples), which is 7 km east of Kumbakonam on the Kumbakonam - Nannilam Road, in Thanjavur District, Tamilnadu,India.
The main presiding deity of Thirunageswaram Rahu Temple is Lord Naganathaswamy (Lord Shiva) and his consort Giri Gujambika (Goddess Parvathi).
A unique feature of Naganatha Swamy temple is that Lord Rahu is seen with human face. While in other places, Lord Raaghu is worshipped with a serpent face.
An important aspect of Rahu Temple at Thirunageswaram is that during milk abhishekam, the milk when poured over the idol, turns Blue which is clearly visible.
The Jothisha Sastra (Astrololgy) states that if Raaghu is in good position in ones horoscope He will bestow all prosperity (including Raja Yoga) to him and that person becomes a Kubera . If he is not in a good position and guilty (Dhosha) a person gets worst results and his life will be miserable. Therefore one should satisfy Raaghu (one of the 9 planets) by worshipping Him. Ones marriage will be delayed if Raaghu is in the 7th place in a horoscope. If he is in the 5th place, the Jaathaka (person) will not beget a child. In order to nullify Kalasthra dhosha, Naga dhosa and Putra dhosha one should worship Raaghu. People afflicted with Nagadhosa should perform oblations.
