Tithi is divided into sixteen parts of Vedic astrology. The main parts are pratipads, dwitiya, triiya, etc. According to the tithi; Hindu month is divided in two parts that depends on the moon.

Yoga is the third important part of panchang. As it says, yoga is divided in twenty seven parts and each one has its own effect on a person’s life. Yogas can be auspicious as well inauspicious. It says that there are 27 yogas that are considered as lucky and 9 are unlucky.
