This temple belongs to Lord Buddha or mercury. This temple has some reference with the Ramayana written by Valmiki and it is expected to be about 3000 years older. Mercury is believed to be the giver of intellectual power and wisdom.

Alangudi

Located 36 kms about Thanjavur and it is dedicated to the lord brahspati, Guru or Jupiter who is worshipped for the wisdom and knowledge.

Thirunallar

This temple is dedicated to the lord Shani or planet Saturn. It is located about 90 kms from Kumbakonam. Lord Shani has a most important place among the nine planets and if someone worships him with heart, he relives the person from the curse of the lives, bad luck and diseases.

Kanchanur

Lord shurkra is worshipped here in this temple who is the controller of the love, affairs, marriage and comforts of the person. This temple is located about 57 kms from Thanjavur.

Thirunageswaram

This temple from the navagraha temples belongs to Lord Rahu which is located about 6 km away from the Kumbakonam. The devotees visit this temple to get relief from Naga dosham.

Keezheperumpalam

It is the Saivite temple which is dedicated to the lord Kethu. According to the records, lord Shiva was worshiped here by lord Kethu who is associated with churning of the milky ocean.
