What is Navamsa Chart?
In a horoscope, The Navamsa chart indicates additional information regarding the power and quality of the planets. The Rasi chart indicates the location of planets and important aspects such as position of Gulika and Lagna. To put it in a nutshell, if a planet is placed strongly in the rasi chart, its full potential may not be seen if the position of the planet in the navamsa chart is not in the same position of strength.
Importance of Navamsa Chart
The navamsa chart thus becomes very important for analysing the chart in full and to know more. The navamsa chart can allow for accurate predictions. The navamsa chart also allows an experienced astrologer to understand and suggest palliative measures for people under distress.
The navamsa chart offers much information about a person's life in marriage. If the lagna and 7th houses of the navamsa are not afflicted, it can in most cases, overcome one or more problems in the rasi chart.
Navamsa Chart in Astrology
The navamsa chart is also said to affect the latter half of an individual's life and a positive or favourable navamsa chart indicates improvement of relations, albeit slowly, especially if the rasi chart is not favourable.
On the other hand, if a navamsa chart has Kuja plus Shani in the lagna or ascendant, it denotes conflicts in marital relations. If this occurs with an otherwise positive rasi positions, there might be conflicts that may occur in the life of the individual.
If the rasi chart is powerful enough, the relationship may not end in a divorce and indicate misunderstandings on and off.
Generally, an astrologer will not tell her predictions without having a look at the Navamsa Chart of an individual. In essence, the Navamsa chart is essential to accurately study and make predictions. And yet, the navamsa chart alone is not sufficient if one needs still more accurate predictions. We need the bhava chart, the drekkana chart, hora chart , trisamsa chart, the saptamsa chart and the sashtiamsa chart if we want the most accurate predictions. But, most people just stop with the Rasi and the Navamsa charts.
Navamsa literally means nine aspects. This means that each house in the rasi chart has to be split into 9 parts. You all know that each rasi consists of 2 and 1/4 nakshatras. So, each rasi has 9 nakshatra padhams. Each of these padham will become one part of the split.
