- After that you need curd, milk or water, honey, coconut water for abhisekh of the lord Shiva.
- After doing that you need a sandalwood paste, holy ash or you can say bashm, bilwa leaves and flowers. Make sure you are not using Tulsi leaves and some flowers. Make sure that you are keeping chanting shiv pooja mantras during whole pooja
- Then you need Prasad or food that is made for lord Shiva. Do not eat the Prasad as it says that it is only for dhana or friends of lord Shiva.
- After that lighten up the lamp and incenses. You can use ghee or mustard oil. However, according to mythology ghee is known as the purest element that protects your house from evil spirituals powers.
- Then use rudraksha beads for reciting Shiva pooja mantras. It says that rudraksha is part of lord Shiva; it’s the purest thing that can destroy every evil and bad power that can hurt or harm you in any sense. After completing your worship, distribute the abshikh water to everyone and Prasad too. The water is pure that will kill sins of yours.
